TUITION:
5.500 Euro per year for 3rd country students; 2000 Euro per year for EU students.

Note: All students who have applied for one year MA in Gender Studies at CEU are also eligible to apply for GEMMA. In case they are accepted in both programs, they will be offered a possibility to choose.

Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree in Women's and Gender Studies (GEMMA)
Fifth Edition (2011-2013)
The application period for Erasmus Mundus scholarships is now open for Third Country and European students and Third Country (non-European) scholars to take part in the fifth edition (2011-2013) GEMMA.
1. Erasmus Mundus scholarships for students, Category A and B:
The GEMMA Consortium selects eligible students on the basis of CVs, study and academic merits, motivation, recommendations, language skills, etc. The European Commission confirms this selection and officially assigns the grants.
Students should be in possession of at least a University Bachelor degree (or its equivalent:180 ECTS, minimum 3 years of study) and should have proven knowledge of the languages of instruction of the universities in which they wish to complete their studies.
The scholarship covers:
- the tuition fees
- medical insurance
- installation costs (€4.000 per year, only for Cat. A)
- living expenses (€1.000 per month for Cat. A and €500 per month for Cat. B)
during the two years of the master.
2. Erasmus Mundus grants for scholars:
Third Country scholars can apply for research visits at one or various GEMMA European partner institutions. These visits can last between 2 weeks and 3 months and the grant is calculated on the basis of 1.200 Euros per week.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAMME
GEMMA Erasmus Mundus Master’s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that provides high quality academic education and professional competences for students wanting to conduct further research, and personnel working or intending to work, in the areas of Women's Studies, Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities.
GEMMA is a master of excellence supported by the European Commission which selected it as Erasmus Mundus from within 160 project proposals for 2006. It is, therefore, the first Erasmus Mundus Master in Women's and Gender Studies in Europe. GEMMA provides the added value of mobility between two of the seven participating European universities and the unique possibility to obtain a double Master´s diploma from both the Home and Mobility institution.
